Modelzone have started stocking this French collection of 1/43 diecasts at £4.99 each. Today I picked up a Citroen ID 'break' in Petrole Hahn livery, a Renault Estafette van in Butagaz livery, plus a Peugeot J7 van in Kodak livery. The J7 and Estafette both have opening side doors and rear doors. Not bad models for the dosh. Photos to follow later.
A couple of photos of the ID & Estafette...Not bad for a Fiver a pop.
I haven't even seen these on e-bay yet. Detail isn't quite as good as the Altaya models to be honest, but for a fiver for a nice looking 1/43 scale model, well it isnt exactly expensive. There are some Peugeot 403 pickups in the range, but I don't like the look of them to be honest. The tow truck version has a huge screw visible holding the jib on.
Aye for a fiver really you can't complain. Modelzone at Norwich, which is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE by the way, and must be one of their biggest branches had just litteraly got them in, and the woman on the till was putting barcodes on them. I had a couple of Michelin vans in my hand & saw that stack on the counter, and had a rummage...In all in Norwich I spent less than £30 and came away with 7 models.
No worries mate. I havent been posting much either thanks to a new job & silly shifts. It does mean more money for models though, and I've already decided my next purchase, the 1/43 scale Thames 400E from Oxford Diecast
