Here's one I made earlier as they say.
Constructed last year from the contents of two Argos Beetle sets, a Meccano 8700 Radio Control chassis and other parts from my collection.
Despite the weight it carries around it has a good turn of speed.

Like the rest of my models, no plans for this, built from photos of the real thing.
I have photos from other angles if anyone interested.

Decided to take some new photos of the bug, wasn't happy with the previous ones.
Realised I had never finished this model off.....no front seats!
Have taken it to lots of exhibitions and no-one noticed.
The model will be dismantled before long but I will keep the engine assembly for a forthcoming VW transporter.

Thanks for the encouraging comments!
I am trying.... through this group and others to let people know that we enthusiasts can build things other than old looking dockside cranes in red and green Meccano.
I am building with a system that was patented well over one hundred years ago by Frank Hornby.

I've actually seen a Wright Solar bodied Scania in Go Ahead livery made from Meccano. It was very impressive.

There are some very accurate bus and coach models about, try and get to the annual bash at Skegness in July if you want to see the best of what we can do.
I'm planning to go there for the weekend with a carload of Meccano models to exhibit.
On of our North East lads had an excellent model Borismaster built up very quickly after the first mock-up photos appeared in the press.
I will try and dig out a link to his photo album.
