Thats the 'Greengrass' truck from 'Fartbeat' . A show so dire that the vehicles act better than the cast LOL

Yes and I resisted the temptation to put the little models of Greengrass and Alfred with it Laughing Still, it is a useful unmarked truck of the period and 1:43 to boot.

I'm sure they did the van version in the Vanguards range. It appeared as a post office van, and in an 'Italian Job' set, as one of them was used in the infamous 'You were only supposed toblow the bloody doors off' scene

I've got the PO model but it's another type. I think this is the LC 4 and the other is an LC 5 as was the Italian Job model. I'll have to photo that one as well...
They also did this a NCB coal lorry.

Here is a photo of the real thing, with a different reg plate, and its Heartbeat reg plate on the dashboard if you look carefully. Taken at a scorching hot Kirkby Stephen event 2 years ago

Great Photo Marty,

A few years back there was one of these on Scrapheap Challenge. Unfortunately, they did what they usually do and chopped it about using the engine and transmission for some contraption. A bit of a shame really as I would have loved to get my hands on it and restored it.

Cheers,

Kris. Very Happy

I notice they removed the crude wooden 'ladder' rack from the body as well. I have to admit, the vehicles acted much better than any of the cast in 'fartbeat' as it became known as
