This is exactly the same casting as the Lyons Maid, and the interior is a 'could do better'. I'm going to strip it down and add some detail to the interior

How about taking a few pics, and give the novices (like me) a few tips/pointers on the way? Sweet little van though!

I've got to stock up on the Humbrol first, and try and get some photos of the front of a SwedenFreeze soft icecream machine.

Looks like i'm gonna have to make do with the front of a Carpigiani machine..Harrumph. Softee never used these. Yoinked a couple of images from the tinterweb, will convert em to bmp/png's, scale em down, print em onto self adhesive paper & bingo, after painting the horrid yellow interior blue & white that is, with silver fridge lids...

Luckily the van is only held together by 1 crosshead screw at the front...

Right, I couldn't be bothered with the old Humbrol, and cheated a bit. I nicked a GIF file from the net of the gingham pattern in blue, which was a very common pattern for formica. I imported the file into Coreldraw, where I scaled it down, along with the GIF file of the ice cream machine fronts. I also made cupboard sides and fridge lids and machine sides using Coreldraw, plus I added the Lyons Maid Logo for effect. Everything was printed onto a single sheet of A4 self adhesive paper, which I got from Staples, which was about £7.99 for 100 sheets. Lyons Maid was the parent company of Mister Softee at one point.

Anyhow, less gassing, and more photos Razz

Well the interior was just a lump of yellow painted plastic, and looked cack, so a bit of work on Coreldraw & bingo.
