Michelin Collection 1/43 vans

It's a K plate isn't it ? which makes it a '72 but it was probably an import. Grill wise it looks '60s but it's certainly not what it purports to be.
Nice though...

Yup I noticed after I posted. I would say its a 1960s version to be honest, and probably gained its reg the year it was imported to Blighty

I've added to the collection today, thanks to Modelzone's dump bins. Got a Citroen ID 'Break', which looks like it has a load of test gear in the back, and a Citroen H van in Michelin Greece livery. £2.99 a pop...Photos to follow shortly

Yet more has been added to the collection. A short wheelbase Pug J7 in blue with a yellow roof, a Renault 4 van, and a Renault Fourgonette..With photos of the Citroen ID break and the Citroen H van.

I bought quite a few of these and very nice they are to (for the money). That ID brake was used to test tires and the contraption in the back dropped a tyre connected to the apparatus through the floor of the car so it could run along the road. Must have played havoc with the hydropneumatic suspension on the ID (DS) !

I'll bet the suspension had all sorts of tantrums. For £2.99 each, they are a stupidly low priced bargain to be honest. I want the Transit from the series, but it seems to be getting rarer...Not seen it in the shops, just on ebay and it isn't that cheap either.

I fancied the stretched 8 wheel DS but that is quite dear unfortunately.

Well I've finally got the Transit, and what as disappointment. It's more 1/50 scale than 1/43, and the wipers are for a left hooker. Ho hum.

Nice looking fleet! Transit looks good in the pics, do you have them all now or are there more in the range?

There are shedloads more in the range. They are starting to get thin on the ground too now.
