1/43 scale numberplates

I've been busy making a shedload of UK spec numberplates in 1/43 scale using the uber ancient Coreldraw 3, and Imagepro Print & Go Photosign glossy self adhesive paper. The font used is actually called UK Numberplate and was a free download. The plates are 12.5 mm wide by 3mm high to give you roughly the right size.



It is a simple task of cutting them out with scissors or craft knife & straight edge, peel off the backing, and apply to the model.

A Vanguards Fiesta re plated from a W reg, with self adhesive L plates too. Need to sort a better way of putting the roof sign on as Blutac looks a bit pants.

I wondered why you had been quiet recently......
Does the glossy paper have a preferred type of printer-inkjet or laser?
I could see lots of uses for that paper for all kinds of modelmaking.

Well I use a cheapo HP deskjet printer. It will work with any colour printer I would say. To get the font, just google UK numberplate font, that is how I found it, and it was a free download

There is also Staples A4 self adhesive paper that is a matt finish, that come in sheets of 100 which is much, much cheaper. That is also suitable for injket and laser printers.
